- 250 grams bowtie pasta
- 1 tblsp salt
- 1 tblsp olive oil
- 19 oz can garbanzo beans (chickpeas)
- 1 tblsp garlic-parsley powder
- 1 tblsp thyme
- 1 tblsp onion powder
- 1 tblsp basil leaves
- 1 ½ tblsp McKay's chicken style seasoning
- 1 tblsp olive oil
Cook bowtie pasta in pot as instructed on package, adding salt and olive oil to the pot. Once cooked, drain and set pasta aside in a large serving dish with a top. In a blender combine un-drained garbanzo beans and all the seasonings and olive oil as listed. Blend until all ingredients are combined into a thick, creamy sauce. Pour garbanzo bean sauce over top of cooked bowtie pasta and with a wooden spoon gently fold the sauce in until all the pasta is evenly coated. Serve hot with steamed vegetables and naan bread (or whole grain rolls) on the side. Serves 8.
