Methuselah (me-thuze-la), KJV of NT Mathusala (ma-thusa-la). [Heb. Methushelach; Gr. Mathousala, possibly “man of the javelin.â€] An antediluvian patriarch of Seth's line. He was son of Enoch and the father of Lamech. His age of 969 years is greater than that recorded of any other man (Gen 5:21-27; Lk 3:37).
