Moreover, my father, see, yea, see the skirt of thy robe in my hand; for in that I cut off the skirt of thy robe and killed thee not, know thou and see that there is neither evil nor transgression in mine hand, and I have not sinned against thee; yet thou huntest my soul to take it.

As saith the proverb of the ancients, `Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked.' But mine hand shall not be upon thee.

O LORD my God, if I have done this, if there be iniquity on my hands,

let the enemy persecute my soul and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honor in the dust. Selah

For without cause they have hid their net for me in a pit, which without cause they have dug for my soul.

They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head; they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty. Then I was made to restore that which I took not away.

And David said, "What have I now done? Is there not a cause?"

Which of you convicteth Me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe Me?

Jesus answered them, "Many good works have I shown you from My Father. For which of those works do ye stone Me?"

Jesus answered him, "If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil; but if well, why smitest thou Me?"
