And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests who bear the ark of the LORD, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of the Jordan, that the waters of the Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand up in a heap."

that the waters which came down from above stood and rose up in a heap very far from the city Adam, that is beside Zaretan. And those who came down toward the sea of the plain, even the Salt Sea, failed and were cut off; and the people passed over right against Jericho.

And the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people had passed clean over the Jordan.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD: "Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; he that believeth shall not make haste.

And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him by the judgment of the Urim before the LORD. At his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation."

And he laid his hands upon him and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.

And Moses wrote this law and delivered it unto the priests, the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel.

And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt; for it was not leavened because they were thrust out of Egypt and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.

I made haste, and delayed not to keep Thy commandments.

Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might, for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom in the grave whither thou goest.

(For He saith, "I have heard thee at an accepted time, and in the day of salvation have I succored thee." Behold, now is the accepted time! Behold, now is the day of salvation!)

Therefore as the Holy Ghost saith: "Today if ye will hear His voice,

harden not your hearts as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness,
