These are the words which Moses spoke unto all Israel on this side of the Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain opposite the Red Sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

And Moses called unto all Israel and said unto them, "Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh and unto all his servants and unto all his land,

"Ye stand this day all of you before the LORD your God-- your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,

"Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments which I teach you to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you.

All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do ye not according to their works; for they say, and do not.
