Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.

Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean; and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

who remain among the graves and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels;

Then said I, "Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, my soul hath not been polluted; for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth."

wherein were all kinds of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts and creeping things and fowls of the air.

But Peter said, "Not so, Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean."

I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him that regardeth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

But if any man say unto you, "This is offered in sacrifice unto idols," then eat it not for his sake who showed it, and for conscience' sake; for, "The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof."

Unto the pure, all things are pure; but unto those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
