And Paul, as was his custom, went in unto them, and for three Sabbath days reasoned with them from the Scriptures,

And some of them believed, and joined themselves with Paul and Silas, as did a great multitude of the devout Greeks, and of the chief women not a few.

Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold and said, "It was necessary that the Word of God should first have been spoken to you. But seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

And it came to pass in Iconium that together they both went into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude of both the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore will He teach sinners in the way.

The meek will He guide in judgment, and the meek will He teach His way.

Philip found Nathanael and said unto him, "We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and the Prophets wrote: Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!"

Nathanael answered and said unto Him, "Rabbi, Thou art the Son of God; Thou art the King of Israel."

Therefore lay apart all filthiness and the superfluity of wickedness, and receive with meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and honorable women and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their borders.

For ye see in your calling, brethren, how not many wise men according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

but the rich in that he is made low, because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.
