The Jews then murmured at Him, because He said, "I am the Bread which came down from Heaven."

Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, "In truth this is the Prophet."

Hath not the Scripture said that Christ cometh out of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem where David was?"

Therefore some of the Pharisees said, "This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the Sabbath day." Others said, "How can a man who is a sinner do such miracles?" And there was a division among them.

There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.

Nicodemus said unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"

Nicodemus answered and said unto Him, "How can these things be?"

The woman said unto Him, "Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. From whence then hast thou that living water?

But when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked and others said, "We will hear thee again on this matter."

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
