and entered into a boat and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus had not come to them.

And leaving Nazareth, He came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the seacoast in the regions of Zebulun and Naphtali,

And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell; for if the mighty works which have been done in thee had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

His brethren therefore said unto Him, "Depart hence and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.

For neither did His brethren believe in Him.

While He yet talked to the people, behold, His mother and His brethren stood outside, desiring to speak with Him.

Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary and his brethren James and Joseph, and Simon and Judas?

And his sisters, are they not all with us? From whence then hath this man all these things?"

Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James and Joses, and of Judas and Simon? And are not his sisters here with us?" And they were offended at Him.

And when they had come in, they went up into an upper room where abode both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the brother of James.

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brethren.

Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as do other apostles and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

But I saw none of the other apostles save James, the Lord's brother.
