And I said unto them, "If ye think it be good, give me my price; and if not, forbear." So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.

And the LORD said unto me, "Cast it unto the potter" -- a goodly price that I was prized at by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.

and said unto them, "What will ye give me if I will deliver Him unto you?" And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

Then Judas, who had betrayed Him, when he saw that He was condemned, repented and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out.

But Peter said unto him, "Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money!

But those who would be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

For the love of money is the root of all evil; and while some have coveted after it, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you -- they whose judgment now for a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

They have forsaken the right way and have gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages ofunrighteousness,

Woe unto them! For they have gone in the way of Cain and have run greedily after the error of Balaam for their reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah.
