Then said Jesus unto him, "Put up again thy sword into his place, for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

But how then shall the Scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?"

Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, then would My servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews. But now is My Kingdom not from hence."

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.

For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds,

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness,

Above all, take the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.

But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world.
