"The Law and the Prophets were until John. Since that time the Kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

To the law and to the testimony! If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

I receive not honor from men.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

For Moses from olden times hath in every city those who preach him, he being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day."

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the Word with allreadiness of mind and searched the Scriptures daily to see whether those things were so.

Therefore many of them believed, also honorable women who were Greeks, and of men not a few.

and that from childhood thou hast known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped for all good works.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy, unto which ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn and the day star arise in your hearts,

For the prophecy came not in olden times by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
