Also take your flocks and your herds, as ye have said; and be gone, and bless me also."

Therefore the LORD God of Israel saith: `I said indeed that thy house and the house of thy father should walk before Me for ever.' But now the LORD saith, `Be it far from Me; for them that honor Me I will honor, and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.

And all the people said unto Samuel, "Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not. For we have added unto all our sins this evil: to ask for us a king."

And Saul said unto Samuel, "I have sinned; for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD and thy words, because I feared the people and obeyed their voice.

For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars."

O LORD, rebuke me not in Thy wrath, neither chasten me in Thy hot displeasure!

There is no soundness in my flesh, because of Thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones, because of my sin.

My wounds are foul and corrupt because of my foolishness.

If thou hast done foolishly in exalting thyself, or if thou hast thought evil, lay thine hand upon thy mouth.
