For a multitude of the people, even many from Ephraim, and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover otherwise than it was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, "The good LORD pardon every one

who prepareth his heart to seek God, the LORD God of his fathers, though he be not cleansed according to the purification of the sanctuary."

And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.

Or have ye not read in the law how on the Sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are blameless?

But I say unto you, that in this place is One greater than the temple.

But if ye had known what this meaneth, `I will have mercy and not sacrifice,' ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
