Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?

He hath fenced up my way, that I cannot pass, and He hath set darkness in my paths.

He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out; He hath made my chain heavy.

He hath enclosed my ways with hewn stone; He hath made my paths crooked.

And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land, and he began to be in want.

And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine ate, and no man gave unto him.

For the days shall come upon thee that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee around, and keep thee in on every side.
