Thou hast broken down all his hedges; Thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.

All that pass by the way despoil him; he is a reproach to his neighbors.

"And now, I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down.

For before the harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, He shall both cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks, and take away and cut down the branches.

They shall be left together for the fowls of the mountains and to the beasts of the earth; and the fowls shall summer upon them, and all the beasts of the earth shall winter upon them.

For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel; for the emptiers have emptied them out and marred their vine branches.

He shall come and destroy these husbandmen and shall give the vineyard to others." And when they heard it they said, "God forbid!"
