And the king said to Doeg, "Turn thou and fall upon the priests." And Doeg the Edomite turned and he fell upon the priests, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons who wore a linen ephod.
And Nob, the city of the priests, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen and asses and sheep, with the edge of the sword.
And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. So is the tongue among our members that it defileth the whole body and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire from hell.

For every kind of beast and bird and serpent and thing in the sea is tamed, and hath been tamed, by mankind.

But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Therewith we bless God, even the Father, and therewith we curse men, who are made in the similitude of God.
