The Father loveth the Son and hath given all things into His hand.

Then the disciples looked at one another, not knowing of whom He spoke.

Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.

And we said unto my lord, `We have a father, an old man, and a child of his old age, a little one; and his brother is dead, and he alone is left of his mother, and his father loveth him.'

And we said unto my lord, `The lad cannot leave his father; for if he should leave his father, his father would die.'

And it came to pass, when we came up unto thy servant, my father, we told him the words of my lord.

And we said, `We cannot go down. If our youngest brother be with us, then will we go down, for we may not see the man's face unless our youngest brother is with us.'

and the one went out from me, and I said, "Surely he is torn in pieces"; and I saw him not since.

Now therefore when I come to thy servant my father and the lad be not with us, seeing that his life is bound up in the lad's life,

And it came to pass, when Joseph had come unto his brethren, that they stripped Joseph of his coat, his coat of many colors that was on him;

And they sent the coat of many colors, and they brought it to their father and said, "This have we found. Know now whether it be thy son's coat or not?"

`Have they not sped? Have they not divided the prey: to every man a damsel or two, to Sisera a prey of divers colors, a prey of divers colors of needlework, of divers colors of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of them that take the spoil?'

And she had a garment of divers colors upon her, for with such robes were the king's daughters who were virgins appareled. Then his servant brought her out, and bolted the door after her.

The King's daughter is all glorious within; her clothing is of wrought gold.

She shall be brought unto the King in raiment of needlework; the virgins, her companions that follow her, shall be brought unto Thee.

And of thy garments thou didst take, and decked thy high places with divers colors and played the harlot thereupon. The like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.
